Blair Pettis acted as Project Manager on behalf of the Vancouver Island West School District to develop and implement this emergent project to construct a replacement school. The project included site selection and acquisition, clearing, assembly of the design team, construction administration and public liaison with the Village and associated First Nation bands.

The project went to construction in November, 2011 and is scheduled for occupancy in December 2012.

The project commenced in November 2011 and was ready for occupancy by December, 2012. The project was $6.8 million and is 1,391 sq. m and includes the subdivision and development of six lots for teacher residences.

The school is designed by Chang Holovsky Architects with Muchalat Projects Ltd. acting as Construction Managers.
