Fletcher Pettis Consultants Ltd. was engaged to develop and manage multiple work projects towards renovating this heritage building constructed in the 1920s. The project was a $1.8 M renovation consisting of the upgrade and installation of a commercial kitchen, replacement of a maple dance floor and installation of new mechanical and fire alarm systems.

Numerous deficiencies were encountered during the project requiring an expansion of the scope of work to include the removal of select vertical logs from the wall, remove rot and splice on new sections and replace into the wall. Significant number of logs were repaired and replaced together with a return of the exterior of the building to a natural finish. New canopies were installed to provide added shelter and improved access to the building. Added to the project was a total roof replacement.

Blair Pettis was the project manager and developed and co-ordinated the scope and budget through a combination of stipulated price and time and material contracts.
