Blair Pettis acted as principal Project Manager on behalf of the Comox Valley Airport Commission in the construction of a new 30,000 sq ft air terminal building,taxiway, apron for four aircraft, associated underground utilities and groundside parking and access, as well as off site development of roads and storm water management.

The project was valued at $11.6 million and was completed in 2004. A subsequent project valued at $4.9 million was developed to expand taxiway surfaces and increase the apron facilities with the construction of 128,400 sq ft of aircraft apron with the associated modifications to underground utilities, taxi lighting and signage. It is currently substantially complete.

The air terminal was designed by Dishlevoy and Hagarty Architects with airside and groundside aspects of the project being design by a team of civil engineers. The project managers were responsible for selecting the consultant team, program control, schedule and budget control, approvals with multiple authorities, public liaison, tendering, and construction administration.
